Evening Delivery

Yesterday Gerald woke up at the crack of dawn to take the nursery van down to San Diego. The mission: to secure multiple flats of new plants for the nursery, load up the van, and brave fierce afternoon traffic conditions on the way back to Northridge. As the sun began dipping late in the afternoon, there was still no sign of the nursery van. Had Gerald given up in the face of Southern California gridlock? Was he locked in a a gas station bathroom along the way?

Thankfully the answer to both those questions was no. Around 5pm Gerald rumbled into the parking lot, the back of the van loaded down with dozens of boxes and flats worth of plants. With the sun going down, there was no time to waste offloading the cargo but as with any delivery, it was a challenge not to stop and gawk at the new arrivals:

We’re excited to offer our customers these new cacti and succulents, the first of many deliveries as the nursery refreshes it’s stock over the coming months. The rain can’t last forever and when the weather gives way to warmer weather, expect an explosion of green leaves, flowers, and growth. Thanks for checking in and we look forward to seeing you in person at the nursery soon!
